Two Hands, One Heart

I've been trying to decide what to share on my blog for the last few days.  I try to keep things positive here and for my family's privacy I don't share certain things that we are going though and I'm sure you can understand that.  But my world fell apart in November and I have been trying to keep the pieces pulled together.  That's all I can say without going into details.  I'm so thankful for my sister and husband who have been there to help me though this.  I'm so thankful for my mom who lets me cry with her on the phone.  I wish she were here, nothing beats having a hug from your mom. I'm so thankful for my dear friends who listen with kind and caring hearts as I share my heartbreak.  And there has been so much brokenness over the last month.

I took a much needed break last week.  I should have done that sooner, but I didn't realize how hard everything had been on me and how it was effecting my business.

You see, I have two hands and one heart and they have to work together.

For a while, they weren't.

I'm doing better, thanks to my family and some serious self-care over the last week.

If I have upset you because of a lack of communication, please forgive me.
I've done all I could over the last few weeks while trying to take care of my family.
I hope you'll understand and move forward with me.

At this point, that is all I can do - move ahead.  One step at a time.

  2. There are many of us out here who are having a hard time. It isn't all happy, happy, mistletoe etc.

I found it hard to even read blogs this last month.

I hope things get better for you.

  5. I'm sorry too that you are going through a difficult time and yes, it is very good to have family and friends during hard times. Its hard to lean on people and let them help but its usually just what we need. This time of year adds lots of extra stress too- not always so joyful. I'll be thinking of you and saying a prayer for you. :)

  6. I'm sorry you're going thru tough times. The truth is it brings tears to my eyes because I understand the feeling. This whole year there was one thing after another and there are still coming. But I feel you're being strong. We should definetly be grateful of the people around us that keep us going. I know some people say what doesn't break you makes you stronger; but it changes you in different ways. For now I'll just keep going, smiling whenever I can.

  18. two hands
    one heart

your two hands have nurtured and encouraged, lifted others up and created marvelous things. your one heart has loved and might be cracked but that doesn't mean it can't be mended and grow in new directions. you are strong and kind and generous. you give of your inspiration willingly and inspire others to discovering their own greatness. we want the same for you. there is a whole great big community out here who cares about you and is ready to be there for you. all you need to do is ask. and if all you can ask for right now is understanding and prayers, well, then we are the ones to do it.

i wish i were there with you right now. i would give you a big hug and i would let you just sit and be.

you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers daily.

find your 'something good' today, miss heather. today and every day. and i promise you that it will get better and easier to find those 'something goods'.

  22. dear heather: sorry to hear that you are having a struggle or as they say in a program I am in " an unexpected growth experience." I will say a prayer for you. Also, plaese say a prayer for Salvage Sparrow, the lovly artist you introduced me to several months ago, she was in a horrid car wreck that took the life of her beloved mother. What a journey we all have. J. H.

  27. Hang on to your heart, don't let anyone tarnish it, polish it every day with the words of love you receive from all of us. A wise someone told me that "Pain" ( in any form) is a reminder that we are still alive and an opportunity to allow others to give us what we can't give ourselves. I am sending a hug, close your eyes and feel the love.

  28. Miss Heather, You are a huge part of this community and the inspiration you have given is to be admired. I started adding you to my prayer list a bit ago. Not sure why, but you were there. This is a difficult time for many of us right now. Just be surrounded by your family and friends. Everyone else will be there when you are ready.
