Above is a necklace I created with a silver squirrel from Hint. Notice the hint of purple - when working with a fall color palette of yellows and oranges, a nice touch of their complimentary colors can add a little spice.
Squirrels span the medium - here is one in clay and one below as a print.
Hmm, should we do another giveaway? Why yes, I think we should. Leave a comment below and I will draw one random winner on Sunday to receive one of my squirrel beads.
Answer the question: Do you have an animal or bird that reoccurs in your creative projects?

I love to use birds, sea creatures and insects such as butterflies, bees and dragonflies. Thank you for the chance to win a Humblebead, I have my fingers crossed. swopemelmel@aol.com
I love birds and my favorites are chickadees, we have a trail in a local park where they will eat right out of your hand.
Hmmm...I usually like to incorporate flowers...so I would have to say as far as an animal...that would be a bird of some kind.
BTW...I love the necklace!

The necklace is so pretty and does remind me of fall. I am with you - tired of this heat!!! I don't use a bird or animal but do a lot with leaves - small or large. Thank you for the chance to win.
I've used a lot of dragonflies in art projects and jewelry in the past. They're still there, but more and more I'm using birds of all kinds. :) I love your squirrels!!
I love all furry cute animals, and also birds. I do not have a signature animal that I use in my jewellery. Not yet that is. Don't know if I will end up having one in the future. But if there would be loads of beads and charms with lemurs or marcats or slow loris or koalas or anything of that kind I guess I would go for that. Your squirrels and birds I really like by the way. CUTE! but not childlishly cute, so that it feels like an adult woman could still wear them, you know.
By the way I have taken photos of that branch looking like a dragon outside my window. I will post it on my blog within the next hour. It is very cool, I think you would like it
Dragonflies are my favorite. I love the squirrels! I have two waiting to be incorporated in a design. I just wanted to leave a comment and let someone else win.
I love anything with wings, and tend to reach for them more often than flowers (though I would use that sweet little squirrel in a heart beat).
I love your squirrel print, and was surprised at the fact that you are a talented author, illustrator, and print maker--though I should have known through the lovely sketches you show on your blog.

Hhhmm... because I do mostly beadweaving, I don't do a lot of animals, however, I love the shape of a butterfly and find myself trying to mimic the shape in beadwoven rings or bracelets.
Okay. My first question is how do I get one of your illustrations? I want to frame one and hang it in my studio to be surrounded by all the best art.
Second...BEES! Ever since last summer's bee debacle, and the subsequent Bee Whisperer necklace with a bee in ICE Resin, I have this thing for them. And I find myself hoarding bee-themed art beads rather than using them. Silly me!
I love your inspired by series! Come by and check out mine! ;)
Enjoy the day!

Fall is my favorite season and all that it entails... your squirrels are too cute! Dragonflies... they seem to fly right into my designs.
I lean towards things that fly. Dragonflies, butterflies, owls and bats
I can't stay away from dragonfly"s and bumble bees! But now that I've seen your squirrels that may be my new favorite! Love your beads and your blog.
Thanks

Lately? It's all about dragon flies!
people who don't sell their creations might think Autumn in July is a bit squirrely !
But, those of us who do enjoy selling what we make, need to be a season ahead of everyone else!
When most people are in watermelon mode,
we have to think apples and go nuts!
Sometimes it's hard to do!
Thank you for the charming inspiration!
Looking forward to more ! m.e. :)
Usually, it's hearts & flowers -- but lately it's been dragonflies, butterflies, etc. -- and you're squirrels are just too adorable. Thanks for the chance to have one!
Birds appear once a year in my clay pieces.
I never noticed before but your comment made me think thank you!
My son and I just love squirrels!
