These pile of beads amaze me. My whole family helped make beads to get ready for Bead & Button. Sanding and painting for me, tying stands of beads, waxing and all the tiny bits that take up so much time. I'm so thankful for them.
Today is a bittersweet day. We are spending the day with our family, my mom heads back to New Orleans tomorrow. There is never enough time when it comes to spending time with my family. Which has me thinking about moving to my home town. We are crunching numbers, checking into the schools and mulling over yet another life-altering move. It's only an hour away, but it so many ways it's another world living in such a small town. It would be bliss for me, I'm not sure how my husband and teens feel about it yet.

Oh my gosh....what a beautiful collection!
I never made it back to your booth after Friday night.... I'm sad, but that's how B & B goes. But I am comforted knowing that you are a short drive away! And good luck with your new decision about moving!
Oh, Heather, I really feel for you having to make a decision about relocating. In a perfect world we would be minutes from everyone we love, next door to the best schools, and possibly across the street from a great bead store or three... O.K. a girl can dream, right? Your family are obviously a great boon to your business; I'm sure with lots of brainstorming you will all come to the best decision for everyone. (Of course, I'm rooting for a hometown move!)
You know I am here for you if you need someone to sound off on... I am glad that you are taking the time you need... to rest and relax... to reconnect with your family... to do all those things that somehow get put on hold too often. The right course of action will present itself for sure... hang in there.
Enjoy the day.

My husband and I would love to move back to upstate New York (where both our families live). But my husband's job keeps us in the D.C. area. He is an interaction designer, and jobs in that field are plentiful here and non-existent there. If you have the opportunity to move closer to family and friends, take it! Life is too short.
Love all of your beads too! 2000 = heaven! :)
Heather, I hope you're feeling better. It's heck when our bodies slow us down. Wish I was closer to help.
Sorry I wasn't able to get back to your booth at B&B. So much to see, so little time. There were so many booths I didn't get back to.
I know how much you love your little town - hope it all works out for your family.

Heather, I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet you and Rosanne at B&B this year! Your beads are amazing and seeing them person was such a special treat for me. I can't even begin to imagine how exhausting preparing for a show like B&B must be. Take it slow and take good care. =)
wow, what a great collection, I hate to think how many hours you slaved over making them all.
It was so nice of you to come and introduce yourself at Lori Anderson's party. I came by your booth to say Hello after that but you were out and about. Was is your Mom I talked to? We talked about my cane - not something I'm used to and uncooperative knees. You are as nice as your work and I have lerked around your blogs forever. Heal fast!
Hope you had a great show. I'd love the see your displays.
Thank you for sharing informative articles like these. Keep up the good work
