New Fall Beads

A few weeks ago my very sweet friend Terri requested that I try my mushrooms and gnomes in earthy colors to match the rest of my woodland beads.  I hadn't thought about it before but once she said it I could immediately see them in my head.  Little gnomes in goldenrod jackets and leaf green hats.  Mushrooms in forest fresh green and tiny charms with mustard yellow mushrooms on light blue backgrounds.  So adorable for fall!  Thank you Terri!

And speaking of fall, I've also added a golden yellow addition to Willow Petals headpins and pendants.  They remind me of fall leaves.  These would look great with my Golden Branches Disk beads.

I'm so ready for fall.  And for the first time in 10 years I will get to see the leaves change colors.  You know that is going to inspire some autumn colored creations later in the season.  I can't wait for apple cider, getting pumpkins at the farmers markets, wrapping up in woolly scarves.  I can't wait to see that first snowflake of the season.

I know, it's August and I'm pushing it.  But I've been baking in Texas for way to long.  I need a dream and right now that dream involves a snowflake seen through a steamed up glass window pane, a mug of cocoa in my hand and my feet in some crazy fuzzy slippers.  Ah to dream...

Have you had enough of summer or are you still hoping to squeeze out a few sun-drenched beach filled days?

I love summer Heather, and the beach is my favorite place to be, but I prefer it when it's a bit cooler and there are fewer people on it!!

Good luck with your move. I hope it brings you all the happiness you hope it will!

Just a bit more sunshine - we don't get a whole lot of baking weather over here! I do love Autumn as well though but I've got to say, summer comes and goes all too quickly for my liking. Looking forward to your Fall inspired designs though!

Yummy colours! I love the golden willow petals especially.
I do love the autumn - I love the beautiful colours and the cosy feeling I get from getting out my jumpers and making the most of my handknits. I would like the sun to come back for a bit first though! We had a wonderful spring here in the UK, and a few hot weeks at the start of the summer but we've had so much rain this week we've had flash floods here on the south coast. It would be nice to dry out a bit!

Love these fall inspired colours! I have to admit that I'm not missing W TX this summer with all of the record breaking heat and drought. Like you, I'm also looking forward to getting a real change of seasons. Best of luck in your move!

Oh so cute!!!! I love the new colors in these fall woodland beads!

I have mixed emotions about summer. One one hand its been so darn hot that I'm ready for Autumn (not winter just yet). But on the other hand, the days and weeks fly by so quickly that I want to hang on to them for a while longer.

I think next year, I will appericate summer again too! I'm looking forward to my weekend retreat on the beach. That will be a nice way to say goodbye to summer.

I love the colors of your new beads. I usually love summer, but this one is my least favorite. Every August I want to move from Central TX to a cooler climate. This year I was daydreaming of mountains by the end of June. Bring on some snow!

I hope you have a safe journey in your move.
