23 Days of Inspiration: Squirrels

Once I started making the birds, I knew it was only a matter of time before I'd try a squirrel.  You see, if my family had a mascot it would be a squirrel.  Evangeline wanted to make a banner for our camping adventures that said "Evil Squirrel Troop 11".  Jess calls us his squirrels and sings the girls rock songs with the word squirrel instead of girl.  (Squirrels just wanna have fun...I wish that I had Jesse's Squirrel, that one is just for me.)  We also have squirrel artwork throughout the house and they are often in my illustrations.
And if you have squirrels, they are gonna need acorns.

(One of my illustrations for a picture book that I wrote and hope to sell soon to a publisher.)

I have a little army of squirrel beads ready for Bead & Button along with my other woodland creatures!

Beware of the cuteness.

Heather, Love your stories in this inspiration series!
I used to make fairy houses with moss furniture and little tables on which we would place acorn tops upside down as bowls for the fairies to eat out of. You encouraged that memory to pop back into my mind this morning. Thank you!! I love your acorns!!

That's awesome!! So cute :) I am assuming one of your girls is Evangeline? I have an Eve-Angeline :) Most likely sounds the same :) How cool is that!! Mine is 2 1/2 and cute as heck!!

You will have to ask me about the squirrel raid of my childhood. I can't tell it as funny as my father, but it is pretty hilarious! (Incidentally, he hates squirrels. I think they are kind of cute.) A book! Really? I am so excited. I will have to have a copy. Keep me posted on that progress...
Enjoy the day! Erin
