I know this is my first post since Bead & Button. I promise photos and more beady goodness this week. It's summer vacation, I have a billion orders and deadlines - so this will be short and sweet.
I totally lucked out with the Bead Soup partner of awesomeness, Kristie from Artisan Clay. Seriously check out the stash she sent me:
I will be creating with these lovely pieces for quite some time. Here are 4 necklaces that I managed to whip up for the Party.
For this piece I created a bail using chain to let the ceramic wheel shine. The large loop silver wire bail on my owl pendant adds a little drama to this cache of beady goodness. The necklace is a mix of stones and lucite in yummy summer greens and blues.
This was a fun one. Again, a chain bail for the pendant. I strung the raku ceramic disks (from Jubilee)directly onto the chain. A few stones and my disk beads are added in for texture and color.
And here is another photo of the magical looking pendant. I'm quite smitten with this one.
Okay, so I'm sure you know all about the Bead Soup Party, but in case you don't please check out the entire list of participants on Lori's blog. I want to thank Lori for putting together this fun event and Kristie for sending me so many wonderful pieces!

You have made an awesome collection of necklaces with your beads. Love the owl necklace the best with the oak leaf and acorn.
Gosh what an awesome assortment of pieces you have made... you definitely did luck out on the soup you received. I love them all but I can't go past the piece with that adorable owl. Well done!

Not sure which course I like best, love them all, you has a gourmet selection to work with too!
You run the "Soup Kitchen"!! 4 entries wow!! I think my most favorite is the last purple one with the mixed brass and silver. Love the colors in that one. I really admire your ability to keep the design simple but very intriguing. PS missed your posts while you were gone- glad you are back!!
Wow, you were really busy making soup. Great use of the components and I love the extra spices you added. Good soup!
Heather, you sure started with some amazing components...the Artisan Clay focals are incredible. You added your magic touch and truly created some wearable works of art here. My favorite is the amethyst-colored one...so sublime.
You are one busy bee! and what gorgeous creations you've been making! Hard to choose which one I like best..um...maybe the one with the leaves...and the one with the owl...OH! they're all fab!

Stunning. Beautiful desings. I cannot say which piece I love most, they are all gorgeous.
You were best suited for the job of using that beautiful stash of goodies. You have a the ability to combine several elements and still have the design look clean and not busy. You should teach a jewelry design class, what about an e-course, I would be first in line.
You did totally luck out and I can see that you put each focal to full advantage. Love the variety as I kept scrolling and scrolling to see what design would come next.
Yummy!
With an awesome assortment to work from... you created an awesome collection!!!
Wow! Love everything!
Totally jealous of your Bead and Button trip! Great pieces. I think I like the first the best followed by the last one. Amazing that you can just whip out 4 pieces like that.
You are very talented! You did a great job with all 4 pieces. They are all unique and beautiful.
Amazing work for someone who just "managed to whip up" 4 necklaces!! Please share tips on time management :{ My favorite MiGHt be the owl, the blue and green combination takes the eye around and back! But I also love anything purple, I would wear any one of them with pride and joy!! You divided and conquered that abundant soup gift, amazing talent! It was fun meeting you at B and B.
You did a great job, Heather, with all the beads your partner sent. I love what you added and how you strung them. Imaginative, as always.
I am so impressed with your designs -- these look like a unified collection yet each piece has a distinct "personality." I love the idea of a chain bail for donuts... thanks for the inspiration!
